M’whandro Mangoba is a Mozambican designer who created the brand Baco Baco, born in the recent year 2013.
The brand was born at a time when the designer loved to creat his clothes. Precisely skinny fit “capulana” pants.
The public began to appreciate his creations. Together with his friend dressmaker began to produce some orders. He drew and his friend sewed.
The work grew and he had the idea to creating his brand that came to be called Baco Baco (his childhood name). With the brand creation his work continued to grew and began to collaborate with some important Mozambican artists.
With the need to grow, he decide to participat for the first time in Vodacom Mozambique Fashion Week 2016, where he wins the Best Young Designer award with the DJELE collection (Shangane language means prison). This collection represents the exaltation of the African Culture as a whole, to show to the world that Africa is beautiful.
His collections inspire the African peoples, their experiences of the tribes their living colors, (people maconde people, masaii, mursi). He does many studies before he creates a collection.
The stylite thinks of seeing his brand grow and attack other sectors o the International market. He claims to have a lot to give to the fashion world and in this study he documents himself every day to grow more in his work.
